MagMapper app for iPhone and iPad

MagMapper:

MagMapper is a geomagnetic mapping application. With it you can walk, drive or inch a device through a sample field to detect the variations in the soil of the earths magnetic field. The variations are caused by minerals or buried objects. MagMapper can be used as a metal detector, but much more, it maps the hotspots in a sampling field for you to investigate with more traditional metal detectors, or dig the spot up and see what is causing the variation. The sampling field size is only dependent on how far you move between points, literally from fractions of and inch per step to yards. The map database is a Plist file that can be downloaded from the App sharing facility in iTunes for further analysis. You can always take screenshots of your analysis to capture work in progress, and email the photos to your desktop for inclusion in your report, or to document your weekend buried treasure adventure!
